Experiencing failures while creating web tests and alerts in Application Insights – 08/06 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 08/06, 20:50 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 08/06, 20:35 UTC and that during the 15 minutes that it took to resolve the issue, a section of our customers experienced failures while trying to create and modify web tests and alerts in the Azure Portal.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to some inconsistencies experienced in downstream alerting systems.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We are aware of issues within Application Insights and are actively investigating. Some customers may experience  failures while creating web tests and alerts in the Azure Portal.
