Experiencing Data Latency for Many Data Types – 05/20 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 5/20, 03:45 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 5/19, 23:30 UTC and that during the 4 Hours & 15 minutes hours that it took to resolve the issue some customers would have possibly experienced Data Latency while using Analytics service. Affected Datatypes: Customer Event,Dependency,Exception,Metric,Page View,Request,Trace.
  • Root Cause: Issue was root caused to slow down in one of our back-end services.
  • Lessons Learned: Occurrence of this type of issues are medium but we pulled out sufficient information from this incident and will apply to avoid these failure in the future.
  • Incident Timeline: 4 Hours & 15 minutes - 5/19, 23:30 UTC through 5/20, 03:45 UTC.
