Experiencing Data Latency for Multiple Functional Areas – 02/24 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 2/24, 23:15 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 2/24, 16:00 UTC and that during the 7 hours and 15 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some customers would have experienced data latency beyond 2 hours.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to an issue in our backend service which delayed data processing.
  • Lessons Learned: Additional resiliency has been added to the system to prevent reoccurrence.

Root cause has been isolated to an issues with a backend service which caused data latency. To address this issue we rebooted a portion of the service and processing is now working as expected. Some customers may experience periods of data latency and we estimate 2 hours before all data latency is addressed.
