Experiencing Data Latency for Multiple Functional Areas – 02/17 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all
systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 02/18, 02:20 UTC. Our
logs show the incident started on 02/17, 13:20 UTC and that during the 13
hours that it took to resolve the issue some customers experienced data
latency over 2 hours for data sent between
15:00 and 17:00 UTC.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to
    misconfiguration in one of Application Insights services.
  • Lessons Learned: Misconfiguration was
    corrected and hotfix was deployed to address this issue.

Processing service is still working thought backlog data. Some customers may experience data latency over 2 hours for data sent between 15:00 and 17:00 UTC on 2/17/2016 and we estimate 4 hours before all latent data is processed. Current data (sent after 17:00 UTC) is processed within 2 hours.

Root cause has been isolated to unexpected data volume increase which was impacting processing service. Processing service is now working as expected. Some customers may experience data latency over 2 hours for data sent between 15:00 and 17:00 UTC

 and we estimate 6 hours before all latent data is processed. Current data (sent after 17:00 UTC) is processed within 2 hours.
