Experiencing Data Latency for Multiple Functional Areas – 02/16 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 02/17, 04:53 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 02/16, 18:55 UTC and that during the 10 hours that it took to resolve the issue small percentage of customers experienced data gaps across data types.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to one of the dependent platform service which was impacting Application Insights processing service.
  • Lessons Learned: We have collected required telemetry data and will be working with the platform team to plan for future enhancements to avoid current situation.

Processing backlog is taking more time than expected but we are monitoring current progress.Some customers may still experience data latency for data sent between 14:00 and 18:00 UTC and we estimate additional 6 hours before all backlog data is processed. Current data (data sent after 18:00 UTC) is being processed without delay.
