Experiencing Data Latency for Many Data Types – 10/28 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 10/28, 11:40 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/28, 10:40 UTC and that during 1 hour that it took to resolve the issue small percentage of  customers experienced data latency for Customer Event,Dependency,Request data types.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to communication with backend component on which Ingestion service relies was not responding gracefully.
  • Lessons Learned: We are continually working on improvements to mitigation and resolution strategies and technology.
  • Incident Timeline: 1 Hour - 10/28, 10:40 UTC through 10/28, 11:40 UTC.
