Experiencing Data Latency for Many Data Types – 9/25 – Resolved

We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of  12:50 UTC. Our logs show that the incident started on 9/25/2015 11:50 UTC  and during the incident period  customers experienced data latency for multiple data types .

Root Cause: The failure was caused connectivity issue between processing components. Team is analyzing the logs for detailed RCA.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We have mitigated the issue by rebooting impacted nodes. Data processing pipeline is now  working as expected.  However some customers may experience latency until we process all accumulated backlog data.
