Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal – 9/15 – Resolved

We have confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of Tuesday, 9/15/2015 23:44 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 09/15/2015
16:57:15 UTC and that during the ~6 hours that it took to resolve the issue ~5% of customers experienced data access issue while running queries.

Root Cause: DevOps team is analyzing available telemetry data.We are still trying to find out the root cause.

Data Access continues to work as expected. Some of the compute instances are still under recovery but there is no customer impact as rest of the instances comprising the service can handle Data Access queries just fine.  DevOps are engaged and investigating the RCA for low memory condition however we don't have an ETA for the RCA yet.

Overall Data Access service is working as expected.

Data Access from Ibiza portal is now working as expected. We found some of the compute instances responsible for the service  got low on memory which impacted Data Access for some of the customers. DevOps is still investigating root cause of the issue
