Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal – 8/12 – Resolved

Application Insights experienced an issue that caused the Application Insights Extensions to fail to load in the Azure Portal.  We have confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 8/12, 23:10 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 8/12, 22:45 UTC and that during the 25 minutes that it took to resolve the issue any customer accessing Application Insights through the Azure portal would have seen an error indicating a problem locating the ‘AppInsightsExtension’.

Root Cause: The failure was due to a bug in a deployment that caused the extensions to fail to load.
