Experiencing Incorrect Data Latency Warning – 7/7 – Resolved

The incorrect data latency warning banner has been fixed as of 7/7, 16:10 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 7/7, 01:40 UTC and that during customers may have seen incorrect latency warning banner when there was no actual data latency.

Root Cause: This was caused by a glitch in our monitoring system

Lessons Learned: We continue to refine our monitoring & internal processes in order to prevent such issues

We are aware of issues within Application Insights and are actively investigating. Some customers may see an incorrect data latency warning banner when accessing Application Insights blades in the Azure portal (portal.azure.com). There is currently no data latency in Application Insights.
