Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure Portal – 6/20 – Resolved

We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 6/20/2015, 9:13 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 6/20/2015, 06:30 UTC and that during the 103 minutes that it took to resolve the issue a very small number of customers may have experienced failures or incomplete data when querying for Application Insights data.

Root Cause: The failure was due to a transient issue with several back-end nodes which caused some data indexes to be unavailable for the duration of the issue.
Lessons Learned: We have gathered all of the applicable logs and telemetry and will be working with our partner teams to understand the root cause of the node failures.
