Experiencing Data Latency for Session Data Type – 5/11 – Resolved

We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 5/12, 1:45 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 5/11, 23:25 UTC and that during the 2 hours that it took to resolve the issue customers experienced latency of their Session Data above SLA.

Root Cause: The failure was due to a bad node in our backend..
Chance of Reoccurrence: Medium
Lessons Learned: We have gathered data and our looking into was to permanently fix this issue so that it does not occur again.

Root cause has been isolated to a bad node in our backend which was impacting Session data. To address this issue we restarted the impacted node. Session Data Type is now working as expected. Some customers may experience latency above SLA and we estimate 2 hours before latency is within SLA.
