Data Access issue with Query Service – 2/4 – Resolved

We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of  2/4/2015 02:10 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 2/4/2015 00:45 UTC and the total impact duration was ~1.3 hours.

Root Cause: Root cause is believed to be a deployment, just before the incident started, which resulted in a heavier than expected load in our query service.
Chance of Reoccurrence: We are still working to confirm our understanding of root cause and there may be a chance of re-occurrence.

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

Work Around: Retry : If user's app retry the query , it may return success
