Release notes – February 23, 2017

On Tuesday, February 21, 2017, we started deploying a regular service update. We upgrade production service instances in batches and it usually takes about a week for the rollout to complete. Customers in the Central US EAUP region already have access.

Below is the list of the new features, improvements and bug fixes in this release.

New functionality

  • AAD B2C is now supported as an identity provider for the developer portal. Learn more about how to use it.
  • Public health probe URL allowing developers to test if the APIM gateway is still up and running – available at http://{{service-name}}.azure-api.net/status-0123456789ABCDEF
  • APIM is now generally available (GA) in the new Korea South and Korea Central Azure regions

Updates and fixes

  • Set backend policy is now available on the global level
  • Client connection disconnects are now recorded as 500 errors in analytics instead of 200 when the backend had produced a 200
  • Fixed rendering of applications list when invoked from the user profile
  • APIM configurations within a VNET now support changing of the resource group of the VNET
