OSCON - Day 0

I caught an earlyyyyy morning flight from San Francisco in to Portland today, to attend some OSCON tutorials. I was absolutely shocked when I ran in to one of my favorite professors from Purdue, Prof Avi Kak in one of the hallways of the Convention Center here in Portland. Prof Kak was giving a talk on object-oriented scripting. Prof Kak taught me everything I know about OOP, which was an interesting class to take for a computer engineering major (we mostly focused on microprocessor design).

I've also attended a couple of tutorials today - the first of which was an AJAX on Rails session by Stuart Halloway.

Stay tuned for more...
