Agenda and Session Details

Microsoft is entering into the software lifecycle tools market with the release of the new Visual Studio Team System product. Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) expands significantly on Microsoft's demonstrated successes in delivering highly productive tools, by offering businesses tightly integrated and extensible lifecycle tools to increase the predictability of their software development process. VSTS offers developers, architects, testers and project managers a seamless way to communicate and increase the effectiveness of software development and the successes of projects.

 

We have put together a free, day-long comprehensive technical training to help our customers understand the power and value of Visual Studio Team System. This session will cover the core features of the product and the details around Developer, Architect and the Test editions.

 

Some agenda topics covered include:

  • Code Analysis, Methodologies and Source Control Management

About the Speaker

Brian A. Randell is a senior consultant with MCW Technologies, LLC, a Microsoft Certified Partner. Over the last 18 years, Brian has worked with companies and their developers to help the create solutions that leverage various Microsoft technologies. From RPG and COBOL and HP 3000 minis to Paradox for DOS to the world of Windows, Brian has worked on a variety of projects and systems to give him a broad perspective to help educate and empower developers.

 

Today Brian splits his time teaching Microsoft .NET technologies to developers, working with new and emerging technologies like Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio Team System, and consulting worldwide for clients such as Microsoft, American Honda, DELL, and others. Brian enjoys helping people get the most out of their software.

 

In addition to consulting, he does this through speaking at events such as VSLive!, Tech·Ed, and the PDC or by sharing through the written word. He is the co-author of Effective Visual Basic and the forthcoming Tom and Huck's Guide to Visual Basic Express (both from Addison-Wesley) and has written articles for MSDN Magazine and Microsoft.
