Richard Hundhausen Speaking in Chicago About TFS 11 and Scrum in October!

Just wanted to announce that we’ve picked a date for our October Visual Studio ALM user group meeting, and this time we have Richard Hundhausen speaking.  Turns out he’s going to be in town that week teaching the Professional Scrum Developer training course and I decided to take advantage of his time, and our friendship, to have him speak to us about TFS and Scrum in the future! Smile  The October meeting will be at AON, but don’t worry, we’ll be back in Downers Grove for the Team Build discussion in November.

Thanks again to those that came out for the September TFS Build meeting, hopefully you learned some good tips and tricks about using Windows Workflow to create powerful Team Build scripts.  Chirs’s slides from the session are on his blog: https://blogs.polarissolutions.com/chriskadel.  Please join us in October, and pass along the invite to anyone that might be interested.  Reminder, please RSVP always @ https://chicagoalmug.org so we can get you on the attendee list at the building.

Abstract

Tonight we will talk about how a development team can leverage Team Foundation Server 11, as well as the hosted Team Foundation Service, to plan and manage a Scrum project. We will create and manage a Product Backlog and then plan and manage a Sprint using the developer preview versions of these tools.
