So this week, I am travelling the Midwest with Jay Schmelzer, Group Program Manager at Microsoft and Clark Sell, a recent (and awesome) addition to our DPE team. Mostly talking about Visual Studio 2010 and SharePoint 2010 together, but also have been touching on .NET 4.0 and new ALM functionality. We’ve been showing off all kinds of great new features, having some amazing in-depth discussions, and rubbed elbows with fantastic partners and MVPs from Madison, Milwaukee and the greater Chicagoland area. Whooo-whee!
Yesterday we all attended the Visual Studio 2010 Launch in Oak Brook, IL, and wow was it packed and full of excitement! Jay gave an awesome keynote around the various improvements to developer’s lives coming with all the new products (Windows Phone 7, Office 2010, SharePoint 2010, and of course Visual Studio 2010) and Clark Sell and I presented on ALM improvements in Visual Studio and TFS 2010. I was especially excited about getting to see Dave Bost present on the new Windows Phone development tools, as well as a very early device. Should be posting some links and pictures soon of our whirlwind tour through Wisconsin and Illinois. We’re now on our last day of customer events, and then round out the week tomorrow at Chicago Code Camp (www.ChicagoCodeCamp.com).
Did you miss these great events? If so, start following me on Twitter! Honestly I’m far more likely to keep that updated these days than my blog. Just too much travelling and 14 characters is way easier to churn out while running to the car, to a customer, or the next user group 🙂
Hope to see you soon!
