Migration Planning Workshop for Visual Studio Team System 2010

The goal of the Migration Planning Workshop is to create a roadmap for migrating a company to Visual Studio Team System 2010 (VSTS 2010). This is done by reviewing the capabilities of Visual Studio Team System 2010 (VSTS 2010) and also reviewing how a company is using Visual Studio Team System 2005 or 2008 today. In order for many of the new features of VSTS 2010 to function, changes will need to be made to the existing environment. Whether you’re looking for the new dashboard reporting features, or the new test case management features, simply upgrading an existing environment won’t be sufficient. SharePoint, report and process template changes will need to be made, and training will need to take place. The deliverable for this workshop is a report that contains information gathered from the workshop, an evaluation of your current Visual Studio Team System environment and its use, and a roadmap detailing how to most effectively migrate your existing environment to Visual Studio Team System 2010.
