STEM Evangelism, here I come

A couple of months ago, I joined a new team in Microsoft, one focused on something I hold near and dear to my heart. Getting students excited about technology and helping them do more with it has been my personal mantra for over a decade and I've had the privilege at Microsoft of doing just that in multiple locations and positions. My new job is in the Worldwide Education team, and more specifically, in the STEM and Employability Skills team, and my title is STEM Evangelist.

What does this mean? It means I get to talk to educators, school leaders, decision makers, and yes, students, about STEM and Computer Science. I get to explain why these topics of study are important to Microsoft, and just as importantly describe what Microsoft does to help academics teach with technology more powerfully. Ultimately, it's all about making sure students are as ready as they can be for their next steps, whether it's to join the industry and start a career, or the next stage of their education.

I couldn't be more excited about this next stage in my own journey. I'm joining a super enthusiastic team who are proud of what they do.
