Microsoft’s WSYP (We Share Your Pain)

Microsoft TechNet UK team has made a video I saw internally a couple of weeks ago, reasonably amusing: Microsoft's WSYP (We Share Your Pain)...Passport required.

Isn’t it odd that passport is required to view a video titled "We Share Your Pain"?

I thought about making a similar little quip but thought it better not to… 🙂

Proof? Like most sensible folks, I have no Windows media player on my computer, no macromedia flash installed, no quicktime player installed and of course…no broadband (unaffordable).

This thing has been all over the news, but since I surf the net using dialup with graphics and animations and video turned OFF, it might as well a slab of incised Hittite cuneiform to me. Oh, and by the way, web pages load faster for me than for people with 6 megabit Comcast broadband and I haven’t had a virus in 3 years. Gee…d’you think there might be a connection?

Wnat to get rid of pain? Jettison Microsoft. Use linux. Dump all streaming media plugins and all DRM’d audio/video plugins. Your life will be pain-free.

Im not sure which is more funny:

    1. This MS spoof of a TechNet video.

    2. McLaren’s poor, and untrue, excuses for how to NOT use IT correctly.

Geez, buy a router, some broadband and shut up already!
