In-flight broadband approved by FCC

Ars technica reports that the FCC has approved in-flight broadband.

"In 12 to 18 months, you will be able to read Ars from the comfort of your airplane seat, as the Federal Communications Commission has voted to allow high-speed Internet connections on flights. Along with surfing the 'Net, passengers may also be able to place cell phone calls.
