People are familiar with the patterns & practices summits and symposia that we have ran in various countries (China, Japan, Russia, Slovenia, Ukraine, India, Argentina, Sweden, …) and our flagship annual event in Redmond. These events are an important part of our “customer-connectedness” with devs, architects, testers, designers working on Microsoft platforms. We have enjoyed these events for many years. This year, in addition to those, we will have an online symposium. On Tuesday, April 24, 2012 join my team for this exciting event streaming live to the global audience. We’ll record all sessions for later on-demand viewing. The event is free.
The agenda is packed with excellent topics and speakers. Kent Beck will deliver keynotes not to be missed. I will present on two of my latest projects: the CQRS Journey and the Windows Azure Autoscaling. My p&p colleagues will also talk about hybrid cloud application development, building testable phone apps, node.js development and the mobile web development. Check out the entire agenda.
I’ve heard some companies and user groups plan gatherings in various places just to watch the event live. Not a bad idea. Watch the talks, engage with us online by asking questions on twitter with #ch9live and #pnpsym. If you’re in a timezone that will not allow to join us live, feel free to post your questions as comments to this post ahead of time.
I look forward to the event and hope you too!
The symposium is over. It was broadcast live to an audience of over 2700 unique viewers. These viewers represented 49 different countries with just under 50% coming from outside the US. Thank you for staying with us. We know for many of you the timing of the event was quite late in the night.
