A review of AOpen’s Pandora Box

So, we all saw the recent article in CNet around the new Pandora box. Still - no specs in that article. However, I was curious and after a little search, I found these (unofficial) specs on www.legitreviews.com

  • Celeron M 1.3G
  • 256MB DDR II
  • 40G 2.5” HDD
  • Slot-in Slim Combo Drive
  • Power Adapter
  • Power Cable (US type)
  • DVI Converter
  • HDTV Cable
  • Driver CD

Interestingly, the basic configuration doesn't include wireless, as it was mentioned in May. Maybe it comes as an additional upgrade option? Also - can I upgrade it with parts from the store? Can I add a DVD writer? Would it boot from a USB thumbdrive? Anyway, I can barely wait to get more details in a few months... 🙂

P.S. And, first of all, cheers to Apple who took initiative and perfected the idea of a really slimmed-down computer! I always dreamed of a minimal, no-nonsense computer which won't cause major accidents if I drop it on my leg.
