Mmmm... tastes like checkin

I have a few further questions about your Team System usage for those of you playing around with the December CTP:

  1. How often do you check in changes?
  2. How many files are in each checkin on average? Did you import a large source tree when you started playing with the system?
  3. Suppose you have multiple unrelated changes you want to submit at the same time. Are you more likely to submit them all in one checkin, or would you checkin each group of files separately one after the other?
  4. How many files do you have checked out, on average?
  5. Before checking in changes, do you perform any tests? (For example, build the product, get a code review, have someone else build with your changes, run unit tests, etc.)
  6. How often do you examine past changesets? When you do, what are you looking for?
  7. How often do you check out a file and later undo rather than check in?
  8. Do you use checkin notes? If so, do you have any required notes?
  9. How often do you associate a checkin with a work item?
  10. Will you experience physical pain if we call it "checkin"?
  11. Do you have any other comments on the checkin process?
