So, in that I completely suck at C/C++, I need to start working on some samples with managed directx for an MSDN deep dive mid-april.
Couple of cool resources I've found... obviously, the managed extensions themselves and the docs, as well as the .NET show. It had a complete session on the managed extensions.
Don't know what to build yet. I was going to write something around a 3D Powerpoint/Document library/viewer, but that seems like it won't be that much fun.
